He was predeceased by: his father Barry "Smitty" Smith; and his uncle Vic Mowry. He is survived by: his wife Stacy Long Smith; his sons, Jackson, Bradley and Michael; his mother Nelie Mowry Smith of West Derry; his sister Courtney Miller (Josh) of Ligonier; his close friends, Tim Allshouse and Brandon Mowry; and his nephew Nicholas Neiderhiser. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Matthew's memory to the National MS Society.
