He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Mahkovic; his stepfather Edgar McWherter; his niece Chelsea Mahkovic; and his sisters-in-law, Brenda and Amy Mahkovic.
He is survived by: his mother Judith Mahkovic-McWherter (Emelo); his daughter Candace F. Mahkovic (Jacob Geiger); his grandson Jordan N. Zepeda; his siblings, Samuel P., Christopher A., Edgar J. Mahkovic, Brenda Broadway (George) and Heather Camarote (Anthony); his sister-in-law Cindy Mahkovic; and his former wife Nancy Gearhart. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
