With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John B. Myers of Derry, Pennsylvania, born in East McKeesport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 22, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though John may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John B. Sr. Myers and Anna C. Myers (Walsh); his siblings, Lloyd Myers and Ellen Christian-Myers; and his close friend Martha Krinock.

He is survived by : his children, John B. Myers III (Amy Dolan) of Latrobe, Lori A. Dudzinsky (Joseph) of Derry Twp and Leslie A. Myers of Greensburg; his grandchildren, Angelea Short Furey (Allen) of Homer City and Vincent Dudzinsky of Derry Twp; and his great grandchild Jaxx Furey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Matthew X Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. (529 N Chestnut St, Derry, PA 15627). A masonic service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
