She was predeceased by : her parents, George Smolleck and Sophia Guy Smolleck (Bazzy); her close friend Gerald "Gerry" Bee; her nephew David Bennett; and her brother-in-law James Bennett.

She is survived by : her husband Peter Walinski; her sister Sarah "Sally" Bennett; her nieces and nephews, Jami, Tammi and Jonathan; her cousins, Mary Lou Smolleck Brown and Ernest Bazzy; and her close friend Ronald Clark. She is also survived by two great nieces; three great nephews; three great great nieces; one great great nephew.
