He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry T. Shaffer and Mary M. Bowlus; his stepmother Lillian Shaffer; his son Charles R. Shaffer; and his siblings, Thomas Shaffer and Renee Shaffer.
He is survived by : his wife Linda C. Shaffer (Rorabaugh); his daughter Mary M. Nale; his stepson Timothy M. Rorabaugh (Maria); his siblings, Daniel R. Shaffer (June), Lamar Shaffer (Donna) and Barbra Speak (Delmar); his sister-in-law Joyce Cottrell; his grandchildren, Jamie L. Shaffer, Shania Harvey, Haley Freberg, Jordan Rorabaugh and Alexandria Rorabaugh; and his great grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Harvey, Shane Tyler Alexander Roll and Kinzey Harvey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
