He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul J. Smith and Evelyn Smith (Hower). He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth K. Smith of New Kensington, James Gordon Smith (Leeann "Annie") of Texas and Pamela Nicholson of Latrobe; his siblings, Elbert "Charlie" Smith, Wayne Smith and Sandy Davis; and his stepchildren, Helen Wiegand (Ty) and Robert Smith. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
