He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Burkey and Eileen Burkey (Dresher); his grandparents, Paul, Miriam Dresher and Summy; his daughter Christine Garman; and his brother Kevin Burkey.
He is survived by: his wife Esther G. (Eberly); his children, Jimmy and Michelle; his son-in-law Darren Garman; his brother Dave Burkey; and his niece Kristy Good. He is also survived by three granddaughters, one grandson, a great-grandson.
He had a big heart, and was heavily involved in Make-a-Wish Foundation.
