He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin G. Knauer and Edith Knauer (Walter); and his siblings, Franklin, Katherine, Ella, Harry and Mary.
He is survived by: his spouse Merla L. (Hehnly); his daughter Cynthia A. Mellinger; his close friends, Michael Rutt, Brenda D. Engle, Lisa J. (Roger Spitler) and Troy L. Knauer; and his brother William W. Knauer. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
