He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah D. Petty and Lula Mae Petty (Edwards); and his siblings, Opal Ross, Carolyn Smith, John Petty and Harold Petty.
He is survived by: his spouse Elvara Wyatt Petty (Elverie); his children, Shirley Testerman (Eddie), Linda Boothe (Troy) and Jeff Petty (Kim); his nephew Michael Wyatt (Melodye); his grandchildren, Dawn McCole (Steve), Jason Testerman (Holly), Ryan Boothe and Jeremy Boothe (Angie); his great grandchildren, Dalton Boothe (Shelbie), Cian McCole, Lane Boothe, Trinity Testerman, Kylee Testerman, Conal McCole, Emily Boothe, Brandon Boothe, Taylor Boothe, Callen Boothe, Kate Watkins (Brandon) and Shelby Cason (Andrew); his great great grandchildren, Jackson Watkins, Nicholas Watkins, Presleigh Blevins, Raylynn Boothe, Parker Watkins and Alex Roth; and his siblings, Virginia Catron of Hoquaim, WA, William "Bob" Petty of Churchville, MD, Rufus "Pete" Petty of Darlington, MD and Kathleen Hammock.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harkins Funeral Home, Inc. (600 Main St, Delta, PA 17314). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Baptist View Church (2718 Sharon Rd, Jarrettsville, MD 21084).
