He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Lyle and Mary E. Hess (Thompson); and his brothers, Gerald L. Hess (Marion) of Denver, CO and Martin R. "Bill" Hess (Charlotte) of Delta, PA.. He is survived by: his sons, Lowell R. Hess (Barbara) and Gregory L. Hess (Martha Jo Horton); his grandchildren, Matthew L. Hess (Elizabeth), Alecia Morris (Brett), Heather Liester (Daniel), Lyla Overmiller (Simon) and Rachel Hess (Joshua Resh); and his great grandchildren, McKenna Morris, Devan Frantz, Chase Morris, Augusten Hess, Taryn Liester, Olyn Overmiller and Leona Overmiller.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions are made to: Salem Church, 5042 Delta Road, Delta, PA 17314.
