He was predeceased by: his son-in-law James Turk; his parents, Sybil Hall-Druck and Willis Mead; his sisters, Judy Furst and Pamela Mead; his brother-in-law Robert Furst; and his father-in-law Wyatt Gentry.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Ann Mead (Gentry); his children, Pamela Collins (KC) of Chehalis, Kimberly Mead of Ocean View, Stacy Hicks (John) of Catonsville, Jessica Alley (Nathan) of Arvada, Rebecca Mead of Catonsville, Kevin Mead (Beth) of Bel Air and Jennifer Mead Turk of Havre de Grace, Maryland.; and his grandchildren, Dakota, Sebastian, Shane, Maggie, Benjamin, Asher, Wesley, Logan, Hayden, Chloe, Joshua and Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages anyone who is able to donate blood to their local blood bank as Rick received many units of blood during his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
