He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Pitler and Freda Pitler; his son David; and his brother Harry. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne I. Pitler; his sons, Steven Pitler (Michele Bergeron) and Andrew Pitler; his daughter-in-law Patricia Pitler; his grandchildren, Emily Pitler, Lauren Kansupada, Will Pitler and Chris Pitler; and his great grandchildren, Luke, Claire Guha and Olivia Kansupada.
