He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence L. Brown and Muriel Corrine Brown (Hough); his wife Thelma G. Brown (Torrance); his son Richard C. Brown Jr.; and his siblings, Clarence, Karl, Dwight, Dale Brown, Dawn Elaine Brown and Corrine Cunnard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Herman of Connellsville, Gina Collins (James) of Mt. Pleasant and Kari Johnson (David) of Scottdale; his grandchildren, Ryan Maceyko, Tiffany Dykiel (Timmy), Amanda Nicholson (Bryce), Alyssa Johnson (Christopher Jones) and Brandon Collins; and his siblings, Ernest "Ernie" Brown of Scottdale and Shirley Kimball of Williamsburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
