He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Tara M Nylander (Burns); his parents, James Nylander of Bethlehem and Cynthia L. Hohl (Remsnyder) of Stroudsburg; his brother Eric Nylander of Portland, OR; his stepsisters, Sara Gaeta of Whitehall and Kelly Speaker of Telford; and his grandmothers, Alice Nylander of South Port, NC and Jean Acker of Stroudsburg. He was also cherished by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to IMBA, the International Mountain Bike Association.
