She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry H. Simmers and Viola E. Simmers (Rush); her husband Leland E. "Pete" Porter; and her siblings, Harry Simmers, Michael Simmers, Ruby I. Sloniger, Virginia L. Pennington, Jimmy Simmers and Dorothy Simmers.
She is survived by: her son Robert L. "Bob" Porter (Betsy) of Punxsutawney, PA; and her brother Allen R. Simmers (Cindy) of Dayton, PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, Inc. (125 E Main St, Dayton, PA 16222). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
