He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ronald, Donald, Arthur Bernon, Cecil, Leonard McMeans and Joann Griffith.

He is survived by: his parents, Arthur A. McMeans and Bernice McMeans (McLaughlin); his wife Bonnie D. McMeans (Bussard); his son Shane R. McMeans (Melissa) of Dayton; and his grandchildren, Kian and Lily McMeans. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
