He was predeceased by: his parents, James Riggin and Geraldine Riggin (Riggar); and his wife Barbara A. Riggin (Higbee). He is survived by: his son James Silbaugh; his brothers, Bernard and Kenneth Riggin; his children, Renee, Brenda, Kristy, Ruth Ann Choban (John), Stacie, Angela and Sheldon; his siblings, Laura Grimes, Rosemary Winaught, Wanda Stewart, Kathleen Rockwell, Martin Riggin and Ronald Riggin; his girlfriend Darlene Rush; and also Robert G. Prinkey Jr.. He is also survived by his family, Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
