She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Betts and Alvina Betts (Van Eizenga); her husband Paul Betts; and her siblings, Virginia, Phyllis and Edward.

She is survived by: her sons, Richard Umbach (Susan Girard) and James (Colleen); and her grandchildren, Katherine, Jesse and Emily Umbach.
