He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gindlesperger and Dillie Gindlesperger (Kaufman); his wife Minnie Kaufman; his son Larry R.; his son-in-law Harold Thomas, Jr.; and his siblings, Robert, Charles, Lemon, Korie and Mary Mishler.

He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Thomas; his daughter-in-law Diane; his grandchildren, G. R. Gindlesperger, Stacy Becker, Jeff Thomas, Candace Thomas and Jennifer Collins; and his sister-in-law Edna Kaufman.
