He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd R. Philips and Bess Philips (McCullough); his wife Frances "Toots" Philips (Soriano); and his daughter Judith Rose. He is survived by: his son Robert L. "Flip" Philips; his grandsons, Joshua and Justin (Elissa); his great grandchildren, Ashlee, Rocco, Emilia and Elliotte; his great great grandchild Gianna Sapienza; his sister Nancy "Nanny" Norton; and his friend Frank Hummel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
