He is survived by: his wife Nancy Derringer (Smith); his children, Holly, John (Leigh Ann), Jeffery (Zongping) and Joseph; his stepbrothers, Larry, Tim and Tom; his brother-in-law Robert; his brother Ed; and his nieces, Sara and Shelby. He is also survived by his grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
