He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Chuck (Sarson) and Charles R. Shaffer Sr. Chuck; his stepfather George Baker; and his siblings, Ruth Ann Wilson and John Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Kim Shaffer (Stover) of Darlington; his children, Rebecca L. Florence (Josh), Zachary C. Shaffer (Hannah), Melissa S. Masterino (Martin) and Amy D. Shaffer (Mark Walker); his grandchildren, Abigail, Ruth, Titus, Josiah Florence, Lily, Madelyn, Emma Shaffer, Lili and Charlie Walker; his sisters-in-law, Connie and Debbie Baker; his nieces and nephews, Matthew, Shawn Baker, Brian Mennell, Billy McCombs, Christopher Baker, Holly McCombs, Jennifer and Marla Baker; and his brother Mark Baker.
