He was predeceased by: his brother Joseph Schmids. He is survived by: his wife Linda Joyce Schmids; his children, William, Jr., Linda, Jr., Jeannette and Martin Schmids; his granddaughters, Samantha and Violette; and his siblings, Jeanette Chaklos, Charlotte Fitzpatrick, John Schmids, Bernadette Davis, Paulette Fedyk, Annette Bradigan and Michael Schmids.
