He was predeceased by: his parents, Myles Elwood and Anna Mae Ayers (Bellis); and his brother Donald E. Ayers. He is survived by: his wife Debra L. Ayers (Cromis); his pet Sam; his sister Carol Whitcomb; his brother-in-law Alan Bowman; and his sister Cindy Ayers (Andy Tiazkun).
