He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence V. and Margaret Mitchell (Weir); and his siblings, Margaret Sharkey and Lawrence Mitchell, Jr. He is survived by: his wife Peter; his grandchildren, Tara Helwig Vining, Joshua Helwig, Quinn Mitchell, Patrick Mitchell, Cassidy Moss and Roman Moss; and his friend Eddie Hoffman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
