With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jay N. Trate of Danville, Pennsylvania, born in Milton, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jay left this world on September 15, 2024 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac S. Trate and Sarah Helen Trate (Wolfe); and his siblings, Ray, Donald, Hugh, Isaac, Verna, Jean and Charlotte.
He is survived by: his wife Joan B. Johnson; his brother Franklin D. Trate (Sandy) of New Columbia; his grandchildren, Bradley Trate (Heidy), Alicia Jones (Janice), Jocelyn Jamison (Ben), Sarah Smichi (Abdellah), Lindsay Barry (Chad), Christopher Reibsome (Thelma), Mary Holdren (Chris) and Rich Rudy (Kim); his great grandchildren, Alex, Aliyah, Declan, Archer, Logan, Kole, Hailey, Ethan, Zachery, Wyatt, Xavier, Ysabella and Gideon; his great great grandchildren, Oaklin and Weston; and also Sandra L. Brown (Elwood) of New Columbia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care (125 N Front St, Milton, PA 17847). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Harmony Cemetery (257 Willow St, Milton, PA 17847).
