Franklin J. Rothermel MD Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Franklin J. Rothermel MD of Danville, Pennsylvania, born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024 at the age of 83. In the vast expanse of eternity, Franklin shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Franklin farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John K. Rothermel and Mildred E. Wilson Rothermel; and his son-in-law Mark DonTigny. He is survived by: his wife Essie J. Miller Rothermel; his son Jeffrey Rothermel (Vicki) of Wexford, PA; his grandchildren, Sheri Rothermel of State College, PA., Ryan and Rachel Rothermel; and his brother Jack Rothermel of Reading, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Shiloh United Church of Christ (512 Bloom Rd, Danville, PA 17821). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
