It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Summers (Danville, Pennsylvania), born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 22, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George C. Moyer and Jessie J. Moyer (Stewart); his husband William F. Summers; and his sons, Michael Summers and Joel Summers.

He is survived by: his son Tom R. Summers (Gail) of Riverside; and his granddaughter Christine S. Wesolowski (Steve) of Danville. He is also survived by four grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Duane's memory can be made to the American Heart Association.

“Dear family your dear duane lived a long life, 93 years! With ups and downs, happy and not so happy moments. But, is this what god wants for us? Just 93 or a lot less? Well, no! He made us to live forever. In psalms, chapter 37 and verse 29, god promises us that we will live forever on earth. It reads: "the righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it". Duane will be resurrected! Be courageous and wait firmly!”
