He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurlow Bennett Knight II and Cora Knight (Marvin); his son James Allen Knight (Jimmy); his wife Norma Carlson (Jipson); and his siblings, Dorothy Bragg, Nora Leota Glover, Sarah Bowman (Sally), Robert Knight and Thurlow Bennett Knight, III (Button).
He is survived by: his children, Tim Knight (Bonnie) of Spencer, IA, Tom Knight (Jan) of Durant, IA and Debbie Johnson (Mike) of Lenexa, KS; his brother Jim Knight (Debbie) of Marion, IN; and his stepchildren, Steven Carlson (Yumi Konishi) of Himeji, Kay Carlson (Mark Anderson) of Portland, OR, Lori Duran of Austin, TX, Jill Carlson (William Calhoun) of Bloomsburg, PA and Michael Carlson (Luda) of Ames, IA. He is also survived by grandchildren and (5) great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
