He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Emanuel and Ruth Bloomwell; his sister Bernice Benson; and his wife Joanne Bloomwell. He is survived by: his children, Arthur Bloomwell (Kevin) and Julia Kassis (Chris); his grandchildren, Sarah Bureau (Nick), Michael Kassis and Charles Kassis; and his great grandchildren, Jack and Hannah Bureau. He is also survived by family members and friends.
Gene was a devoted caregiver to Joanne when she developed and succumbed to Alzheimer's in 2019.
