He was predeceased by: his parents, Loring W. Smith and Joyce E. Smith (Christman); and his brother Dale Smith. He is survived by: his wife LuAnn Smith (Metzger); his daughters, Sandra (Ralf Emrich) of Germany, Jennifer (Kevin Chesser) of Tennessee and Krista (Jamie Jacobs) of Whitehall; his stepchildren, Jessica Strohl and Brad Strohl (Jennifer) of Walnutport; his grandson Jackson W. Jacobs; his stepgranddaughters, Brittany Richard and Katelyn Romig; and his brother Larry Smith (Karen) of New Tripoli. He is also survived by 3 step-great-grandchildren.
