He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude L Hanson and Rosalind Hanson (Kerr); his siblings, Fred Hanson and Joanne (Raymond); and his son-in-law Gary Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn H. Baker Eldred; his children, John D Hanson, Jenniene Nagel (Patrick Stephens), Jody Hanson, David Eldred and Cheryl Davis; his grandchildren, Cassandra Heddy (William), Edward Seber Jr. (Andrea Nelson), Christopher A Nagel, Olivia-Jaide Hanson, Makena Hanson and Kianna Hanson; his great grandchildren, Alexandra Heddy and Zachary Heddy; his sister Linda Lawrence (Stanley); his sisters-in-law, Madalyn Hanson and Deborah Hanson; his brothers, Robert Hanson (Patricia) and Claude Hanson Jr. (Merilyn); and his friends, Bonnie, Nancy and Melinda.
