With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Marie Griffiths of Dalton, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 6, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William "Linn" Griffiths; her parents, Earl John and Ruth Sponsler Purcell; her sisters, Margaret Fletcher and Shirley Houseman; her great-niece Kelly Harroun; her great-nephews, Corporal Robert Nowicki and Kenny Phillips; and her pet Aurora.
She is survived by: her children, Darren (Amy) of North Carolina, Lisa Machell of Florida and Douglas (Emily) of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Rachel, Carley Griffiths, Mackenzie Machell and Eleanor Myers; her nephews, J. Stephen Fletcher and John Garvey (Sue); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Erin and Adam; her niece Ruth Nowicki (Jeff); her great-niece Ann Marie (Aaron); her nephew Robert Hartrim (Joanne); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Heather and Casey.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (418 S State St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411). Jane had a deep love of animals; in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter or a pet rescue program of your choosing.
