He was predeceased by: his parents, Katie Witmer and Wayne Witmer; and his siblings, John Witmer, Elsie Peiffer, Leah Deppen, Betty Moore, Vivian Kauffman and Dollie Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Witmer; his daughters, Ann Pealer (Jeff) and Jill Webber (Tom); his grandson Lance Pealer; his stepgrandsons, Brandon and Blake Pealer; and his sister Brenda Smeltz.
