He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmie Schaffner and Linnie Schaffner (Long); his daughter Lynne Wynn (Tim); and his siblings, Mark Schaffner (Esther), Merle Schaffner, Clyde Schaffner (Eleanor), Fairvan Schaffner (Esther), Haven Schaffner (Eleanor), Neil Schaffner (Mary), Sherwood Schaffner (Eleanor), Marie Schaffner, Melva Ditty, June Leitzel (Mark), Loyetta Troutman (Newt), Donna Reisch (John) and Ethel Coleman (John).
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Schaffner (Brubaker); his sisters, Barbara Strohecker (James), Sandy Witmer (Barry) and Dean Schaffner (Diane); his daughters, Pamela Novinger (Ryan), Tamie White (Brett) and JoAnne Smyre; his grandchildren, Brian Henninger (Kimberly), Heather Klinger (Chris), Nicole Czaplicki (Matthew), Michelle Lauver, Natalie Briggs (David), Natonya Hill (Brent), Jeremy White (Megan), Brock Stone (Candy) and Britney Stone; and his great grandchildren, Jaclyn, Brielle, Luke, Dakota Henninger, Autumn, Ashton, Matthew, Mary Czaplicki, Kenneth, Kasey Boyer, Madison, Breanna, Paisley, Nathan Hill, Ella Stone, Lextin Schreffler, Maycee Henninger, Harley Yucha, Tinsley and Emme Briggs.
