He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert P. Lonergan and Marguerite Murray Lonergan; his sister Kay Mecca; his brother-in-law Donato Mecca; his brother Robert Lonergan; and his sister-in-law Santina Lonergan.

He is survived by: his aunt Liz Murray; and his brother Brian Lonergan of Moosic. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
