She was predeceased by: her parent George O. E. Smith; and her sister Nancy Kozemchak. She is survived by: her parent Ethel Johnson Smith; her husbands, Sheldon Evans MacAvoy and Sheldon "Bucky" MacAvoy; her children, Judy Powell (Wayne), Dan (Janice), Tom (Wanda) and Sue Sweet (Chris); her grandchildren, Michael Powell, Becky Cox (John), Sarah Arnold (Joel), Josh MacAvoy (Christie), Christa Threlfall (Jonathan), Tom MacAvoy (Cheyanne), Jennifer Marks (Seth), Nathan MacAvoy (Martha), Amanda Stevens (Aaron), Erick Sweet and Laura Sweet; her sister-in-law Lois Helfrich (Paul); and also, Betty Evans of Trucksville, Bill Long of Trucksville and Jean Long of Trucksville.
