He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sunderland and Margaret Sunderland (Bell); his son Craig Sunderland; and his siblings, Alton Sunderland, Jim Sunderland, Charles Sunderland, Bud Sunderland, Dick Sunderland, Boyd Sunderland and Grace Meckley.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Jane Sunderland (Lippert); his children, Gary Sunderland (Susan) of Grampian, Lisa Fleming (Mark) of Curwensville and Dave Sunderland (Tammy) of Curwensville; his grandchildren, Tiffney Rouguex, Tracey Schaffer, Keith Barrett, Jayce Sunderland, Chelsea Ryen and Cody Fleming; his great grandchildren, Tyler Rouguex, Cooper Ryen, Kennedy, Leanna, Bryanna and Adam Schaffer; and his brother Clair Sunderland (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
