It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley A. Thurstin of Curwensville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clair Marshall and Emma Marshall (Wingert); her husband John W. "Jack" Thurstin; her daughter Marcia Thurstin; and her siblings, Lynn, Orville, Marlin, Keith, Neil Marshall, Donna Tyler and Gloria Leddy.

She is survived by: her children, Randall Thurstin (Cheri) of Curwensville, Michelle Chalker (Scott) of Binghamton, NY and Joseph "Joe" Thurstin (Darby) of Wellsboro, PA.; and her brother Bill Marshall of DuBois. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Curwensville United Methodist Church 602 State Street Curwensville, PA 16833, or Special Olympics http://www.specialolympicspa.org.
