He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Shimel and Edna Shimel (Bloom); and his granddaughter Alicia Strong. He is survived by: his children, Tina Shimel (Bill Mauthe) of Sebula, Tracey Strong (Joe) of Curwensville and Scott Shimel of Sunbury, PA.; his grandchildren, Amber Strong, Courtney Owen (Sean) and Egan Shimel; his great grandchildren, Cassidy Owen and Davin Owen; and his sister Joanne Magnuson of Clearfield.
