He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark E. Wood and Sarah E. "Sadie" Wood (Young); his wife Hazel; his son David Wood; and his great grandchild Hazel Jean Schmidt.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Schmidt (Steve) of Winder, GA., Doris Emery (Bobby) of Mt. Union, Don Wood (Anita) of Hershey, Denise Barrett (Brian) of Curwensville, Duane Wood (Tammy) of Curwensville and Dale Wood (Michele) of Punxsutawney; and his grandchildren, Joel Schmidt, Elizabeth Schmidt, Ethan Schmidt (Genna), Seth Emery (Chris), Lori Clark (Scott), Sara Arndt (Bill), Ben Wood (Jenn), Anna Wood, Maggie Broadwell (Dave), Erin Bell, Briana Pincherri (Troy), Zack Wood (Theresa), Chyrie Sell (Jim) and Jessica Rauch (Zach). He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
