He was predeceased by: his father Lester C. Loch; and his brother Peter. He is survived by: his mother Janette A. Loch (Breininger); his wife Bonnie Loch; his son David L. Loch II; his grandson Cody David Loch of Orefield, PA; his son Daniel L. Loch; his daughter-in-law Caitlin Schultheis of Bethlehem, PA; his stepchildren, Stacy (Thomas D. Reed) of Middleport, PA and Anthony Vincent Runkle of Cumbola, PA; his stepgrandchildren, Veronica and Marcus; and his sisters, Linda (Glenn Reeder) of New Tripoli, Susan Held of Hamburg and Donna (Thomas Rabenold) of Millersburg. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
