He was predeceased by: his parents, Seibert M. Garlick and Aurelia Ethel Garlick (Shirley); and his granddaughter Angel Garlick. He is survived by: his spouse Starleta Emma Marie Garlick (Marshall); his children, Wilmer "Skip" Garlick, Jr. (Kim), Mark Garlick (Nikki), Audra Garlick Bullock (Tim) and April Garlick Medearis; his grandchildren, Trevor, Tyler, Nicholas, Dalton, Katie, Leelan and Emma; and his siblings, Francis "Ed" Garlick (Sherry), Jean Hart (Eugene), Leona Leland (Terry Whitehaus) and Carol Wilson (Joe Brown). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
