She was predeceased by: her spouse Glenn M. Markle; and her parents, Earl C. Grote and Anna M. Grote. She is survived by: her uncle George; her aunt Florence Lau; her daughters, Ann Madison (Dean) of Selinsgrove and Ginny Davis (Don) of Gettysburg; her grandchildren, Doug Madison, Lauren Purdy, Sarah Leatherwood and Becky Davis; and her great grandchildren, Luke Purdy, Eloise Leatherwood, Sophia Purdy and Aubrey Madison.
