He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Berne, and Hattie Berne, Jr. (Lathrop). He is survived by: his son Jason Tessena (Christy) of Crosby; his granddaughter Chelsey Parris; his siblings, Judy Abbey of Crosby and Robert Berne (Audrey) of Smethport; and his aunt Elvida Stapulis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
