She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton Silfies and Alva Silfies (Anderson); her husband Kenneth E. Cogan; her son Kenneth A. Cogan; her son-in-law David M. Platko; and her brothers, John and William "Bill" Silfies.
She is survived by: her children, Gregg E. Cogan (Rita), Denise L. Cogan-Blackman (Haile) of Pasedena, CA, Karen A. Borneman (Jeff) of Souderton, PA, Debra M. Walker (John) of Hazel Hurst, PA, Laurie K. Dufford of Bradford, Christina R. Platko of Charlotte, NC, Deanna L. Cogan of Sierra Madre, CA and Amy L. Shaw (Kevin); her close friend Keith Wright of Smethport One; and her sister Ellen Herzog of Bradford. She is also survived by Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
