She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Gilbert and Elizabeth Gilbert (Malarik); her husband Stephen Melnick; her brother Michael; her sister-in-law Freda Gilbert; and her sisters, Isabel and Theresa Gilbert.
She is survived by: her children, William S. Melnick (Donna) of Ross Twp, Robert M. Melnick (Barbara), Thomas E. Melnick of Leetsdale and Elizabeth Horvat (Edward) of Export, PA; and her siblings, John Gilbert (Sandy), James Gilbert (Janet) of Leetsdale and Patricia Nawoczynski (Richard) of Ambridge. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
