He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Sloan and Nora H. Sloan (McDonald); his children, Joshua Sloan and Kathleen Davis; his siblings, Gwendolyn McCabe, Alice Einhorn, Mary Lou Sloan, Magadalyn Sloan, Michael, James and John Sloan; and his siblings-in-law, Norma Sloan, James McCabe, Robert Einhorn and Vaughn Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Sloan (Meiss); his daughter Paula Wilson (Ryan); his grandsons, Steven Carpenter, Micky Sloan and Raymond Davis Jr.; his great grandchild Ellianna Carpenter; his son-in-law Raymond Davis Sr.; and his siblings, Patrick Sloan, Robert Sloan (Joan), Judy Williams and Florence Eberhart (Daniel). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to John Paul II Manor, 856 Cambria St., Cresson.
