It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar T. McConnell Jr. (Cresson, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar McConnell and Mary Rita McConnell (Farabaugh); his wife Nancy A. McConnell (Eckenrode); and his siblings, Ronald, P. Frederic, Joseph, Frank, Patricia Vermeulin and Joan Stolarski.
He is survived by: his children, Oscar Thomas III, Todd (Emily), Troy (Jeannette), Loretto, Trent (Corlyn), Travis and Lilly; his grandchildren, Kendall, Issac, Elwood, Tillman, Tristan, Trace, Tory, Ty, Aurora, Levi, Gavin, Ava and Linkin; his siblings, Peggy Jasper and Rick; and his brother-in-law Richard Vermeulin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anderson Family Funeral Home (233 Keystone Ave, Cresson, PA 16630). A Mass was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel (321 St Mary St, Loretto, PA 15940).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic School, Cresson or St. Michael School, Loretto.
