Merle T. Smay Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle T. Smay (Cresson, Pennsylvania), who passed away on November 29, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Smay and Kathleen Smay (Rudolph); and his sister Betty Lou Shay. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Smay (Eckenrode); his children, Wayne (Sheryn) of Gallitzin, Charlotte of Gallitzin, Chris (Virgina) of Gallitzin, Carl (Susana) of Gallitzin, Mark (Faith) of Gallitzin and Gene (Carla) of Gallitzin; and his sister Alma Jean Smay. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gallitzin American Legion.
